RECAP: Rig 7 ThermaPrime Fuel Withdrawal Process

🎯 Purpose of the Process

  • To support corporate-level fuel monitoring for FPH, EDC, and ThermaPrime

  • Used for:

    • Audit reporting

    • Fuel efficiency tracking

    • Contractor compliance

    • Carbon emission calculations

⚙️ Why Automation Matters

“We only work hard at the beginning. Once it’s running, the system does the rest.”

  • Reduces manual error

  • Speeds up approvals and reporting

  • Centralizes and secures fuel records

🔁 Fuel Withdrawal Process Flow

  1. Initiation – Online form filled with odometer reading

  2. Approval – Auto-generated form if approved

  3. Printing & Signatures – 2 copies signed by Rig Manager, Drilling Supervisor, MCA

  4. Fuel Collection – At EDC Admin Complex (6.6 km from site)

  5. Confirmation – Driver and Fuelman both sign

  6. Submission – Signed form returned to Logistics

🛢️ Estimating the Fuel Gauge

  • Avoid overfilling or under-requesting

  • Always estimate:

    • Gauge position (¼, ½, ¾)

    • Tank capacity (e.g., 80L)

    • Liters needed to top-up

Formula: Tank Capacity – Estimated Fuel = Liters to Request

🤔 Discussion Scenarios

  • Logic over computation: Understand gauge behavior

  • Inclined vehicles may show false readings

  • Estimate with experience + gauge + odometer

💡 Reminder for Drivers

  • Trust your logs, not just the gauge

  • Observe unusual drops in gauge

  • Report any inconsistent gauge behavior
